SC and TB ported & polished (no 56k)

I did a mild port on the supercharger and throttle body. I took a 1/4" off the outlet of the SC. I opened the inlet a little more than 1/8" and sanded the hell out of it (it was rough cast in there). I also matched the throttle body to the inlet of the SC and sanded down all the harsh edges in there. I've seen that a lot of people doing this and going big. I just wanted to get 1/4" into it to see how much more response I get. After all, I can take more off, but I can't add any once it's gone, so let the testing begin! Here are some pics of the project, enjoy!

I had to do something with the TB. I wasn't going to atempt to polish it. I liked the lines it had on it so I did this to make it look better.

The pics didn't come out that good of the inside of the TB or the inlet of the SC so I didn't post them. Sorry, my camera sucks ass!

I did most of it by hand. I used sand paper 60 grit all the way up to 2000 grit, steel wool and Mothers Billet Polish. I did use a dremmel and die grinder but most places they would not fit.

Looks Great I do have to say from seeing the T/B on friday to now I do like how you sanded off some of the black paint on it. How much did you hone out your T/B?

I matched it to the inlet of the SC and took off about 1/4" and sanded down all the harsh edges in there so air would flow a bit better.

Well, I got it on and it sounds really good. I haven't driven my car in a while so I can't really tell the difference. It does seem a bit more responsive and it's definitely louder. I didn't get a chance to do any launches yet though. I will tomorrow definitely, that should be the test to tell if It did any good.

I tried the same thing ^ and now my car sits at idle bad and the rpm's jump up and down bad too! :nono: I had to order another throttle body. :thumbsdow

Looks good though! Try to take pics of the inside. I would like to see how you did this

Hmmm. I didn't have problems like that at all. When I first started my car after I was done, I let it idle for quite a bit (maybe 20 minutes). Then I went for a drive, still no problems at all. Did you port the SC too? When I did the TB, I didn't take that much off, just matched it to the SC and smoothed out the harsh edges.
