Order incomplete, refund requested for missing parts

Order #10681

I ordered the balance shaft delete bushings with the $25 option to include the idlers with a $30 refundable core charge. Before I ever received the order I sent an email asking how the refundable core charge worked exactly. Was basically asking how I should send them my balance shafts to get my core charge refunded. I received no response. I received tracking information and my package arrived yesterday as expected. However, there were no idlers which altogether I had $55 wrapped up in. So I sent an email yesterday evening. As I know responses from OTTP via email can be hit or miss I also called and left a voice message with my phone number and asked them to call me back to rectify the situation. Now today I still have not heard from them. I tried calling again today, although I realize it was about 15 minutes after 5 est., and their phone just kept hanging up on me instantly. It would ring and then say call ended. It would ring for different spurts of time before the call would end again. I felt like someone was picking up the phone and hanging up. This kind of pissed me off so I called 6 more times and eventually it rang through to their voicemail which I left another message. I am currently waiting on a response. All I want is acknowledgment of the mistake and to know that action is being taken to correct it.

Josh took care of this and it sounds like the additional parts I ordered are on the way. Thank you OTTP for resolving this issue.

Good. I have always had good luck with OTTP. Glad to see Josh took care of you

The missing parts from OTTP showed up in the mail but it is not what I was expecting. I though I was going to receive a complete idler assembly with a sprocket and everything. I just got a little stub shaft piece with threaded bore on one end and a flat plate on the other. I'm not saying this is incorrect I am just trying to figure out how I use it. My bottom end is currently at a machine shop so i can't just go pull the shafts and have a look. Anyone ever use on of these and have any pictures or anything? I need to get a game plan for if I need to have the shop remove or cut something off of the existing balance shafts.

Basically just unbolt your sprockets from your existing balance shaft assemblies and then bolt these nubs onto your sprockets. I recommend holding the sprockets on a vise so you can properly tighten them.

BTW, I still don't know what to do to be refunded for the core charge. I assume I am supposed the send my old balance shafts back to OTTP to get the refund of $30 for the core. I have asked them a couple of times in emails for instructions but never received any information. My only request is they remove this "refundable" core charge option from their website if they don't wish to honer it.

Core returns get sent back to us with the order ID on or in the box. Normally you have 14 days to send them back. The max amount of time I can give a refund for is 45 days. After that its only store credit. Send them back and I will take care of it the best I can. Our address is on the website also but here it is.

Good to know. Something you might want to include on your website as I received no instruction. I also asked in an email an received no response. I saw you were online here so I posted.

So do you want the whole balance shafts for the core? I could cut them an 1" or 2" back from where you cut out your part so I don't have to pay shipping on the weight of the full balance shafts? Let me know if you would.

I will ship the balance shafts to you tomorrow if you will still honor the core charge refund.
