Just an fyi.... that GMPP catback is not a Cobalt GMPP catback.

Looks like an HHR cat back.

The Cobalt's GMPP catback had a canister muffler that wasn't offset like the one in the photos. It also had a clamp on exhaust tip not welded on.

Just verify that this will fit Cobalts in terms of proper length and hanger location.

The Touring and Performance cat-backs were different. I've never seen the 2 side by side, but could that be the difference, since the touring was more quiet then the performance?

calo247 02-04-2016 06:27 PM

i think the difference was in the resonator not the muffler

Mr.N00bLaR 02-04-2016 10:25 PM

Oh no, you're parting out? You getting rid of the cobalt?

Yes they were different...

The touring had a larger canister style muffler than the performance. I had a GMPP touring muffler on my car before my Corsa catback.

The one for sale in this thread is for an HHR.

^ That is my stock exhaust with a GMPP touring muffler welded on next to my Corsa Touring catback.

That's the same catback I have on my hhr and love it! Also, just an fyi $500 is a little steep. I bought my kit for $285 brand new from the close out sale. Never the less, GLWS!!

calo247 02-06-2016 01:17 AM

not with how rare they are now, new they where like 600 bucks at least. in Canada that is.

Yes, you're right. Brand new they retailed for $881. I just did a quick search on ebay and they are gone!! So, now that they are going to be rare and hard to find, $500 sounds like a fair price. I should have purchased another kit when I had the chance. I bought mine about 2 months ago.
