FS: LNF Rods & 5W30 Royal Purple
Jeremey

PM or email jcornitcher@gmail.com
Have a set of LNF rods from my 08 SS, pulled them when I rebuilt my motor have no need for them and could use some spare cash
Also have 6 bottles of royal purple oil if anyone is interested in that as well.
Would like to get $80 or so for the rods and like $40 for the oil.
Let me know if you are interested

I'm talking about the Royal Purple 5w30 oil he's selling. It sounds like you're talking about his suspension setup.

but no i wasn't running royal purple in my car at all, someone gave it to me, the new motor will only see brad penn

Brad Penn typically isn't synthetic though. Do you mean during the break-in, or did you find the synthetic stuff somewhere?

probably will just continue to run penn, when you begin to build the motor you need a oil with an higher zinc level, probably won't switch over to synthetic until after 1000-1500 miles

You can try Royal Purple HPS (it's a bit new) or Mobil 1 High Mileage too, as both of those have higher ZDP levels, if you're wanting to find a higher zinc level in a synthetic. I'm sure there are others out there.
I had a retired GM engineer that now works as an engine/transmission technical consultant personally point out Mobil 1 High Mileage, due to the higher level of ZDP (and no longer needing to push the emissions stuff). He said he couldn't validate the exact levels in Royal Purple though, although it was advertised as being higher than usual.

Yeah I hear about Amsoil, and there's even an Amsoil dealer near to me, but I don't know too many people running it to be able to really vouch for it, so I haven't been able to get much feedback about it.
