Joined the Army, my Cobalt has to go! (help a soldier out!)
Hey guys,
Most of you know me as xXx, but I'm here to get real with you as Josh LeBlanc. Seeing that my country is in need of help during this time of war, I have enlisted in the United States Army, and I leave for my basic training (boot camp) next week. I'm very excited and this is a big honor for anyone living in these states as I now step from civilian, to soldier, but I'm sure after the first week of basic my excited will be gone (ha).
One of the saddest parts of leaving(besides leaving my fiance) is that just a few months ago I purchased a Chevrolet Cobalt, the base coupe 2.2L because it fit my budget. For what it is, I love it. I did a few mods and I put a little money into the car. Started out with ordering the LS spoiler, then tinted windows, tribal graphic, seat covers/floormats, aftermarket pedals and just a couple weeks ago Street-Glow underbody neons, and Magnaflow exhaust. I love the car and it turns head everywhere. On here it may sound like "rice" and who would want a Chevy that looks import, but I promise one look and you will love it! It's arrival blue and a 5-speed manual with just over 5,000 miles.
Guys, I have to sell this car. I will gone to basic for 2-3 months, then I head to another camp where I specialize in my actual service (Correctional Officer), which I'm being told runs anywhere from 10-12 weeks, all together around 6 or at the most 7 months to which my fiance will pay notes on a car that won't be driven, since she already has a car she pays notes on. Instead of taking the money I'm getting while in basic, and spending it on a car note, I'd rather sell the car, wait until all of my camps are over, then worry about getting an automobile. In 6 months I'm looking at $1500 on the car note, plus $1,080 on insurance, which adds to $2580 that I could save by letting my car go.
If any of you have ANY interrest in buying this car, I'm letting her go for $15,000, and I owe WAY more than that,(roughly 400 or 500 bucks, plus the mods I'd say another 600 dollars) but I'm willing to pay off the rest, since it will be cheaper than almost $3000 we'll be paying when we really want to save for a wedding. If you guys can, help me out. Tell a friend. Tell anyone who wants a great car! Thanks really, because people in my area (southeast texas) either dont know what a Cobalt is, or don't care. Thanks again, and I'm going to miss being an active part of the CobaltSS.net team, for a lil' bit
Joshua "xXx" LeBlanc
P.S. - Email me at NasDotCom@aol.com , SOON! I will send you pics, and if you want to refinance the car and take over notes, thats cool too. Thanks again.

Welcome to the best ARMY in the world....HOAH!!! You'll have alot of fun in basic if you have a thick skin. Just remember the objective of a drill is to find out how much stress you can handle and how you perform under stress. I've got 11 years total active duty service and my only regret is my break in service from 96-99.

Although I have no support for what the US has been doing, I say Godspeed my friend. I wish you the best of luck.

I think he was just looking to sell his car, not start a poilitical argument.
You might try autotrader.com . That's what I did to sell my GTP, I got alot of calls and emails.
I wish you well, Josh, and make sure you make it back to us (and your fiance, too!) when you're done making our world safer!

And they also the state regulates what its people can watch on TV and listen to on the radio. What the hell happened to that country? I don't call that a very democratic state.

Can we split this discussion into another thread? could be a good debate.
Best of luck xXx!

Whether you agree with the circumstances or not, Josh is still committing a selfless act and putting himself in danger to keep others out. He should be admired, not criticized.
So back to what this thread is about in the first place, did you get any offers on the car yet?

Hey guys, and actually no I still have no offers on the car. But while I'm gone my fiance will be putting it up on Ebay and Autotrader, right now I just have it up on a local website, which isn't helping much.
Guys this isn't about being from one country or another, I'm just trying to sell my car
I'm American born and American raised, so I'm partial to the USA, but I got love for you all. I don't think one country can say they're better than another because we're all in this together. But I am here to defend mine.

Come on now.. lets be nice to Canada.. I mean.. living in Cleveland, it can easilly aid in my growing gambling and alcohol addictions.. (Windsor) hehe.. plus some killer ski-snowboarding at whistler blackcomb. Besides.. this thread was supposed to be about a guy going to serve for his country.. lets not make it something negative?
