Ok everyone, here is the deal. I ordered the 9007 hi/lo 8k HID kit complete with ballasts, all wiring and hardware, etc. from ddmtuning.com. I paid 110 plus $40 for 2nd day shipping, 150 total. I received the parts, and a few days later ended up getting rid of the cobalt all together. Never installed, still brand new. i will sell for $110 shipped. normal price is 110 plus 15 for shipping from the site. i just want to get these off my hands since i literally have no use for them anymore.

 

so how would you hook this up to the factory wiring? im interested

 

lets see if i can explain it...uhh...

you know how your current bulb wire plugs directly into the bulb, and then you put it in the headlight housing? well instead, your current bulb wire/socket would plug into an adapter, that plugs into the ballast (the controller power box for the HID bulb. then another wire goes from the ballast to the bulb, and you put that bulb in your headlight housing. so there just 2 feet of cable and a little black box the size of a deck of cards in between your original bulb plug, and the new bulb. all you really have to do is plug it in, and tuck away/hide the extra cabling and ballast with zip ties or something, and you're good to go.

also, check out ddmtuning.com and look at the 55w slim ballast HID kit. that's exactly what i have, in 8k color. bright white with a hint of blue. i even called ddmtuning's customer service before i ordered and he verified that it would be fully compatible with my car. i was one weekend away from installing it, when i got rid of the balt on a whim. so...i'm stuck with this HID kit.

 

is it a hi/low kit like as in bi-xeon

 

yep. it's the 9007 hi/low direct replacement.
