WTT: SS/SC factory body kit for SS/NA factory body kit

I want to trade my black factory S/C body kit for a black factory N/A body kit. Bumpers have normal wear and tear (my car is 2005), but have never been involved in a wreck or fender-bender of any sort. There is some scuffing by the passenger side fog light on front bumper. However, I am willing to throw in cash as well to cover the cost to have it detailed back to perfection.

PM me if interested!

Stealing my ideas... I was considering swapping to the 2.4L Rear Bumper.

Both. It kinda looks better to me... I need to see one in person again.

I like the Evo IX's with the JDM Rear Bumper... and the 2.4L Bumper kinda reminds me of that look. I think it'll go great with a Wingless trunk.

Well, I want a new look for it, and I felt lowered just under three inches, accompanied by some new 17" wheels, SS N/A body styling, and my new license plate ("NOPE NA") would do the trick.

Holy Shit, Batman!!! Cinci roads aren't the greatest, you know. I was lowered 1" and was scared for my car. 3 inches on an SS/SC is redonculous.

You're right, but I'm most likely picking up a second car as a daily driver, and I've been around these parts long enough to get a feel for what roads to avoid. coughCHEVIOTcough. And HEAVEN FORBID I ever take my baby on the Michigan highways again. Jesus.

ls1fbody 02-10-2009 02:59 AM

3" lol

fiftyandsoco 02-10-2009 03:00 AM

I'll probably regret it after I do it, but I've been putting a lot of thought into it, as well as chatting with some friends with lowered cars, and I'll probably go through with it just to give it a shot.

ls1fbody 02-10-2009 03:08 AM

don't get me wrong, it'll probably look awesome as hell, and you aren't all over the place talking about slamming your car to the ground, so it gives you a little more credibility, so i would like to see it.

USMCFieldMP 02-10-2009 03:20 AM

1" put my fenders pretty much even with the top of my tires - and I had rubbing issues. Taking it 3" probably won't work with this car, I'd go with 2".

fiftyandsoco 02-10-2009 11:53 AM

Thank you for the input, I don't personally know anyone with a Balt lowered like I was thinking. I guess for a reason haha. But anyway, I was thinking about installing 17's instead of the factory 18's, thinking it might allow a bit more room to lower.

USMCFieldMP 02-10-2009 12:19 PM

The rim size isn't so much what will allow more room, its more the tire size. You'll need a tire with a shorter sidewall... but keep in mind... that'll throw your Speedo off.

fiftyandsoco 02-10-2009 12:27 PM

Yeah...maybe I should just get some 14" wires and an air ride setup? Heh. I'll keep you guys posted on the progress, I'll be making a decision very soon.

fiftyandsoco 02-17-2009 10:00 PM

Well guys, at this point I'm wanting to trade the rear bumper only. I'm removing the front lip and adding a lower grille, which pretty much turns the SC bumper into the NA bumper. I never really thought about it like that.

But anyway, I'll do a straight trade on rear bumpers if anyone is interested. Preferably local, as I don't want to deal with shipping it. Let me know!
