thats why you should tire shine before you wax because the wax takes the tireshine off the car

You could just get a thinner silicone of a tire shine, put it on sparingly and you wont have any sling from the tires, then again being a detailer helps.

looks nice but here's a tip. not talking shit but the tires need to be cleaned.
a good product for that is bleche white, can find it for $2-$4~ at walmart, or pretty much any other auto parts store's shelves. spray it on, agitate with a stiff bristle brush and rinse. i can tell you have a piece of land with some dirt, but it'll get rid of that 'brown' stained look on the face of the tire.. and when you go to put a tire dressing on, it'll look that much better. ;) |

What you're gonna really want then is a dressing that isn't really goopy, that won't attract a lot of dust.
Basically , here's the process http://image.sporttruck.com/f/118884...eche_white.jpg spray on pretty nicely on the tire, let sit for about 10 seconds, then agitate with a pretty stiff brush like you'd use cleaning your house. Spray off. The tire dressing I'd recommend is something I've found recently.. few months ago. Gone through a few bottles already.. (I detail on the side as a hobby) http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2739904_n.jpg I basically spray it on after the tires are DRY after washing the car, let sit for 5-10 minutes, then wipe off. If you have an electric leaf blower handy, use that to blow away the excess after you wipe it off the tire sidewall. Here's what you'll be left with and even in rain here in Chicagoland, this stuff lasts 1-2 weeks. Here's a few cars I've done with it and how it looks AFTER http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._5597806_n.jpg http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6365627_n.jpg http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4787711_n.jpg |
how does it hold up to dust and dirt? main reason i haven't done anything to my tires is because of my location.
|
Got to ask... what is the car in the background?
