Corvette Dyno
#26
Car was having some spark blowout up top, also found a split plug wire so we probably left some power on the dyno. Even tho I just got this set up done the car may shortly go a different route, will still be twin turbos tho, should find out in the next couple days.

I am seeing a lot of C5 going for well under 20k and in great condition. Seems like since the C7 came out the C5 values took a dive.
I'm definitely going the used Corvette route after I get out of this damn apartment and into a house. It sucks not having a garage. I even have to park my beater at the parents house

Miles? Now a manual trans car can hold up to some good power, put a procharger or turbo on it with E85 and you got a 600-700 whp dd lol. I love the vette, and I love that it looks stock, and sounds like its just got a mild cam, but sounds like a jet in boost haha.

Don't fear an LS1 with a few more miles on it (unless poorly maintained or highly modded). The only issue I've ever heard of with higher mileage LS1 was in the '01 model year. The valves would need adjusted earlier than expected. A few years ago the president of the local Vette club bought an '01 manual trans with about 100K on it. Bought it cheap. All he had to do was a valve adjustment and it ran like a top.

What cage hahah? It am going to do a 6 point this winter most likely. Car has just shy of 200 more hp and tq to go so I am hoping it will trap 145-150. I was honestly hoping for a low 11 at 128 or so last night. Same power as the cobalt but it goes to show what that hook does and the added torque. This car is making 150 ftlbs more then the cobalt at same or close hp. (Which I knew it would)

Read the post just above yours, but also the car was not set up for drag racing, I just enjoy it, its only got a 3000 rpm stall so I can launch it to hard, I think it will 60 foot in the 1.7 range when I actually try to launch it tho. Car will go 9's easy on full power.

Most LS turbo guys claim they run 4000 stalls and they drive perfectly stock, I doubt that but it converter tech has come a long way from the old TH350 setup I have in my truck with a 3000 stall that flashes to 3k with a slight press of the gas. You could probably do 34-3600 just fine and not really notice it during normal driving, but if it will flash into the spool range of the turbos the car will take off like a raped ape when you hit it.
