its not just about shooting flames. on a turbo car with slicks this helps a great deal with power off the line

troyss 07-05-2010 08:40 PM

Off topic- how's your car doing stu?

hungryhip-ccp 07-05-2010 11:03 PM

I did it for 4th, i used to have it when i was turbo'd but now im sc'd so it was just for fun... it was my poor mans firework show :) but its old already and i switched the timing back, in second gear i would hit those cells alot so its like hitting a brick wall.

Chris i wasnt directing my "hate it when people wont tell" comment towards you or anyone i was just speaking in general.

I think it's just plain retarded to rev the engine, beat the engine, so you can see some flames come out of the exhaust.

Also can someone tell me how shooting flames out of an turbo car get's you off the line better? Never heard that one before

it builds by igniting fuel post cylinder pre-turbo. for instance, my honda buddies went from making 3-4psi on their regular timing 2-step to pulling a bunch of timing on the 2-step. 75% of fast turbo drag cars use a form of launch control that builds boost

rico 07-05-2010 11:50 PM

i went from 4psi. to 10-11 psi on the 2 step after timing was played with.
