ok, but how often do shocks actually go out on most cars? It's not like you're going through them every 10000 miles. Higher end cars have higher maintenance costs.

Exactly- if you can afford to spend 150 grand on a car, I don't think you're too concerned about what parts on it are going to cost.

How is one considered a retard to pay......

Are we doing a night raid on the Mercedes dealership to steal shocks?

This has gotten way off topic. OP got to ride in baller ass Mercedes and it becomes a "Why would you want that, my uncles LSx 21764032rhf dhf as CAMMED jlksdgf is way better in the 1/4 and its my kind of luxury."

yeah I wonder how much the Magnetic ride control shocks cost lol.

oh and who mentioned a range rover lol, those things are rolling money holes. You'd be better off spending 100K on a paperweight.

everyone I know that owns a landrover says they're a perpetual problem, even the owners joke about how they fall apart, I'll admit they're great for off roading, when they work...

Found used F55 shocks for 450 a piece and new AMG shocks for 800 a piece, sounds fairly comparable.

I can see why I sometimes see them riding sideways, or sagging bad in the rear. hahaha. I can also see why they drop in value so much
well if your are only making 60-70k and you are buying a new/newish AMG then you have no sense of fiscal responsibility anyway because considering the cheapest AMGs (new) start at 65k (im guessing) then shocks are gonna be the least of your money problems.

You can go buy a used AMG 2005-2007 Amg depending on which one from 20-30k. So thats what a family car would cost. For anyone that is buying that car used , is going to have problems, thats what i was trying to say, also you go buy it for 90k , then 3 years later its worth 40k !

I will never buy a Landrover/Rang rover. For one reason, Top Gear America was testing one aggainst the Srt8 Jeep . This was a brand-new car, and his sunroof started leaking

you guys talk so much about cost of these cars...

Used 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class 6.3L AMG For Sale | Cincinnati OH

for the newer wants

Used 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG E63 AMG For Sale | Cincinnati OH

but imho for the Merc AMG cost, outside of the SLS AMG(i want it), i'd go GTR, CTS V Wagon or Coupe, or a nice RS Audi...

yes! now to pick... Coupe or Wagon

and per ATS, i think $44k is a little much for a 4cyl turbo RWD... i'll wait and see what the possible ATS-V will have
