Car still looks great man, I gotta say having the highrise trunk makes the taillights look better!

I'm picking up a new WRX as a daily driver. I really liked the 11-14 body styles... but for a couple thousand more I can pick up a new one with redesigned engine, turbo location, and transmission (6 speed opposed to 5 speed.) The looks are subjective to some, but in person they look nice... and they drive great.

It's ridiculous how those subarus (specifically wrx and sti) hold their value

I'm on the fence about the new WRX. its got an FA20DIT, so like an LNF. However its in its infancy and gets much better gas mileage but they still suffer from really bad engine coking. They do however have timing chains, and electronic controlled VVT (We call it AVCS)

the older 11-14 WRX use the EJ255...which is a tried and true design. Timing belt required to be changed at 105k miles or 10 years. Keep it stock or modify it with intake + catback and you will be set for life. use a good oil, Motul, Amsoil etc and change it ever 4k with good filters. Subaru says to use 5w-30 but honestly, most guys will tell you to use a 40w.

And winter mode.

Very clean. How much did the paint correction cost you? The last owner of my SS put scratch marks all over this thing. I need to get it done.

Also i guess i should post mine up.

It cost me, with 4 different cutting and polishing compounds plus a sealer, $525. Was REALLY bad from the previous owner as well and 6 years of wear and tear. He was able to get almost all the scratches and spiderwebs out of it. He said he even amazed himself. Luckily GM paint, especially the black, is very hard paint. It smelled like a freshly painted car when he was done lol.
