that was after i did tuneup. it was getting ~29-33 before.
air filter, plugs, fuel filter, clean tb, clean maf, clean map. that was at 63-65mph. with one 40mph slow down through a tow (kept in 5th)
it was up to 40 but after the town and i got back up to 65ish it went back to 37. its all highway.

I have grown up a bit since my early crotch rocket days and never go without a helmet and full riding gear. I know when and where it can be opened up. I haven't even topped it out yet. This is what we call a gentleman's sport bike and the twisties of Colorado's foot hills is a great place to ride.

Oh yeah twisties, don't have those here. I could see how that could be fun. Here the roads are long and straight and riding a bike that can go the road speed in second gear is just boring without opening it up. I have a cruiser style bike which I never thought I would own. It got thrown in my lap by my brother who was frustrated because they couldn't get it running so I got a great price on it. Anyway it has grown on me. I really like the V-twin rumble and torque is good enough to be able to pass in traffic but not powerful enough to get me in trouble even when I want to hammer down. And it feels like it's going to fly apart at 100mph so it's not as hard to resist the urge to go fast. Kind of like slow car fast. It would be awesome to go cruise some twisty roads through the mountains on the weekend or something, wish I lived closer.

Hey guys I installed a new set of Spyder HID today. I also installed a set of new foglight housings as my OEM were getting bad & I installed a set of Lumen G8 foglights as well ! The entire setup turned out good & is bright as hell however they forgot to include the relay harness that I paid an extra $20 for ! Because of this I’m getting a slight flicker from my HIDs. I of course called them & they rush delivered out a new relay harness that I’m going to install on Monday.

Thanks JD mine are smoked so not sure if that’s the same as charcoal or not. I like the little LEDs myself, I’m also removing the OEM turn signals & little reflector running lights & replacing both with LEDs in order to add even more light up front. As far as the alignment goes I haven’t attempted to align mine yet. The instructions seem pretty straight forward if I do decide to adjust but I’m not sure. I noticed that my passenger side beam is aimed down the rd slightly farther than my driver side so I’m not sure if they meant to set them up like that for more road coverage or not but so far it’s such a small difference that I’m not even sure if I will mess with adjusting them.
Question for you JD is there a little bulb right inside where the reflector is or am I just seeing light that’s reflecting off of the reflector ? I can’t really tell however if there is a small bulb inside where the reflector is I’m going to replace it with an LED bulb.
Also I got super screwed man. When I placed my order with Pro Tuning Lab I of course paid extra to have the CCFL halos however I also elected to pay an extra $19.99 for the relay harness. I knew that it would be worth the extra $ seeing that the electrical power output on our cars suck. Anyhow I got my lights hooked everything up the way that it was suppose to go & after getting them installed & turning them on I noticed that there’s a slight flicker with my HIDs almost like they are dancing a little. I called pro tuning lab they emailed over a picture of what the relay harness was suppose to look like & sure enough even though I spent the extra $ during checkout for the harness they forgot to put it in with my lights !! Which is why I’m getting the flickering since my HIDs aren’t getting enough power from the OEM headlight harness.
Anyhow as u could imagine I wasn’t happy so they over night a new relay harness to me which I just got so on Monday when I have some time off I’m going to have to go back in & add in this relay harness.
My hope is that adding the relay harness should be pretty straight forward since everything else is already hooked up ? I know that the harness will need to connect to the positive mettle post by the fuse box for power. I actually found a relay harness how to post on our forum so I’m going to use that as my guide. Looks like the mettle positive post by the fuse box just pulls right off allowing u to hook the relay harness up there & then put the mettle post back on ?
The other thing that pissed me off & caused me a lot of time was after I did all of the wiring on my first light I went to test it & everything worked as it should except for the HID itself, I couldn’t figure out what was wrong so I hooked up my other light the same way & it worked just fine ? I went back & noticed that one of the wires that ran to the HID that was installed by Spyder the manufacture was just laying there completely unconnected from the HID !!!
Anyhow after I get this relay harness hooked up on Monday & replace the last couple of halogens with LED I will be super happy with them. They are bright as hell & they look dam good on our cars !
Also I’m really loving the fog lights that I installed at the same time as they are super bright as well & project a nice wide angle low to the road. I dropped about $160 on them from car ID they are the Lumen G8 LED fog light conversation kit with the built in mini fan on the back of each light to keep them cool & help with projecting a super bright beam consistently.
I went with the 6000 kelvin for my HIDs & the 6200 kelvin for my fog lights. I also installed a new set of fog light housings while I was at it !
I’m also super stoked for Monday because In addition to completing my HIDs im also going to be installing my new AIT carbon fiber functional cooling hood that just arrived as well, pictures to follow
Sorry for the long post guys just had a lot to cover with this install.
If any of you can answer any of the questions that I just through out that would be cool as well thanks guys & don’t stop modying !!!!

For some reason some of your post shows up garbled on my computer at least. Iirc correctly with my headlights I am just tied into stock harness with no relay and my lights work fine. Sometimes one won't come on at startup but I just switch the lights off and turn them back on and they both come one but other than that no issues.

That’s my bad JD it’s cause my post was to long.
Hey do u know if we can use our headlight bulbs in place of the high beam bulbs ? I have a set of bright sylvania as headlight bulbs in my OEM headlights & I will like to move those over to the high beams in my projectors
