This is funny that its posted, cuz bout 2 months ago i was asked by a local neon guy if i knew anyone selling an m62 setup, so he could do this same thing. He said "its the new thing for the n/a guys to do" lol.
Plus i remember Modern Performance posting pics on fb of one of their customers that was doing a 2.4 s/c swap in an older neon not to long ago

I guess you guys need to see the new video:
U mad, turbo guys? New 2.5 pulley, OBX LSD; angry blower. - YouTube
Shaky as hell but yeah...its very slow.
It used to be turbocharged, but I wanted to do something different. Cory over at Modern actually mimiced my design in his build. Turbo swapped 2.4 first gen neons are so common it's not even funny. Hell, my other first gen has a turbo on it. Fun, but not that interesting.
The coolant reservoir you see is dedicated to the laminova cores, and is set up with a dual pass endplate.
And as for wasting money, the entire project (including the cost of the car) cost less than $1400 and the car ran an 11.98 @ 122 at Lapeer.
Dare to be different, bitches.

Thanks! It's a blast to drive. The biggest advantage I have is the low weight...just under 2350# without my fat ass in it.
The valvecover I did myself actually...there wasnt ever a supercharged neon from the factory. Although the original SRT-4 prototype was a SOHC 2.0 with an Eaton m45.

A few of my good friends build 1st gen neons. Like Perfect says they go the route of 2.4L staratus motor with srt-4 internals and or a srt-4 turbofold.
a buddy of mine has a S256ET on his 1gen. This is really neat. Plus 1 for you.

That's ******* awesome! Nothing beats the sound of a blower! Surprised the conversion worked.
Makes me wanna mod my blower and close off the ports
