Ok guys I know that I have seen 2 pictures of people who have traded/bought a trunk off of a G5 and swapped it onto their Cobalt.One was black and one was yellow,both being coupes. Somone is doubting the possibility of this mod so I need some pics for proof. Thanks in advance for the help

 

i have a G5 haha but i havent seen anyone swap the trunks

 

dont think it would work....how would the cobalt have back up lights after?

 

It works fine, you just dont have reverse lights anymore, not saying that this is legal but it does work.

 

I want to see this... and you could always rig up some reverse lights into your rear bumper

 

i guess, but then the g5 would look weird with circle back up lamps and rounded tail lights..either way sum 1 will have an awkward look

 

you could then mod the rear bumper to have the reverse lights on either side of the license plate, someone photoshop that... might look kinda cool.

Well hopefully the person with the yellow one posts a pic so you can see what i looks like in your color to. The person with yellow one actually had it in their sig for awhile

 

I would almost have to put an SS badge on it so it didnt look so empty

 

yea, and you have to remember that in the chop there is no keylock either so that would make it look a lil lese empty

 

IDK, i will have to do a PS when i get home with a Plate and reverse lights

But i ment, keep the all red outer lights, and PS in the reverse lights from like a new Monte Carlo

i like how the g5 reverse lights are... they're lower to the ground to where they actually work lol

 

the reverse lights on the G5s are off the 00-05 Monte Carlos. so they would fit behind the mesh on the back bumper of a cobalt
