Hey Ty, good to see you bought a new car! Do you have pics of the new ride yet? I don't think I've seen a lowered G5 around town yet.

It can be fixed. After the order you a new damn car. That was sarcastic.

Please say you weren't street racing. That took a lot of speed to end up flipping over there. Well momentum, but looks like you were doing at least 60.

How was the other car involved?

Why were driving on a donut. The nature of the flip indicts high speeds, or a high speed impact. Please don't tell me you were driving high speeds on a donut.

And this is why they put the 55mph limit on those things. For up to 50 miles. I've even seen some say 50mph for 50 miles.

Even if that was the case he was speeding like a bullet in order to get enough momentum to flip like that. I hit a bridge at 50mph and it would've just flipped me onto my side if the barrier didn't stop me. And he looks to be flipped 20 feet away from the curve. So no pity from me just glad he's still here. Majority of us know for a fact he was speeding with a donut on it to add onto the unsafe factor.

Only way you flip a car by swerving is due to speeding or he went up one of those invisible ramps in the road that appear just before a crash.

That thing had to catch some decent air and land on the roof to crush it that much.

Dude, you've never raced with doughnuts on the rear? There lighter, have less rotational mass, and are a quick and easy change when they go flat. Get with the program buddy.

As posted on g5club.net so we dont have to wait for him to post his story

"happened at about 10:30 .. ill let ty tell the story on how it happened. but it hit the sidewalk flew over a cube van, 4 door g5 360 on the front bumper in the air. atleast 4 flips . happened right in front of my car. i never ever seen anything soo violent. i was sure he was dead. i geared down from 4th at a fair speed to 2nd. ducked into a parkin lot. trying to dial 911 get my seatbelt off and stop my car and get out at the same time. befor i could even do any of the above mindy said .. hes out,. hes walkin around. i said WHAT!? i tossed the phone and ran up. never been soo happy to see ty. not a scratch on him. .. hes 100% fine no idea how he walked away from that people... honestly no shitin. it looked like the end. and it was the worse crash i ever seen. and in the top 5 if you count the ones i seen on tv. dont let the damage to the car fool you. it was bad. missed a pole (seen in the pics) byt about a foot.
i took him to the hospital last night to get checked and x-rayed. hes all good."

Thanks guys for everything, as far as racing or speeds are concerned wasn't even that fast, around 80km/h or so...
it all happened pretty fast so hard to say exactly what the biggest factor was, but got cut off by another driver so close I actually thought I was hit, did some crazy swervies, hit a crub, and then caught some big air.

As far as the airbags, I don't think it hit any sensors in the bumper, the cover is destroyed, but the core metal bumper underneath is near intact. And my car doesn't have the side air bags.

For a new car, I'm not yet sure how the insurance process is gonna work, but with all I've paid so far (down, payments to date, aftermarket) I'm probally gonna buy an SE model package, or maybe even a gt model if I can find a leftover 07 at a reasonable price..... wish me luck guys!!!

enjoy flamage =]

I agree. Not much damage occurs at 50-60mph. The wheels may cave in, but I highly doubt the car would go acrobatic like it did.

80 km/h + curb does NOT equal flying over a cube van.
