06 Cobalt needs front links?

I own an 06 cobalt lt sedan, and just had my summer tires put on my rims and car today. The shop said that my front links (links kit) are bad and both need to be replaced. I dont know a ton about cars technically, and have no idea what exactly that means. I googled them and found stabalizer links, and sway bar links, but i dont know what it is exactly I am looking for.
What would she be referring to, and is there any cheap sites to buy them from? Shop quoted me $45 Canadian each, no clue if that is a decent price or not..
Thanks

Honestly id upgrade to moog FE5 endlinks (shorter strong thicker and can be greased)
Not sure where in canada you can get them. But far better than stock parts!

They do seem to go bad fairly often on our cars.
