Angry 06 cobalt ss no start

Okay so a couple days ago we put a new head on the car. everything went on fine and we put everything back on right. We checked the timing and thats good, checked for fuel, air, and spark. Have all of those. It cranks over and sounds like it wants to start but wont. Even replaced the crank position sensor, oil sending unit, and coolant temp. sensor. Any ideas on why it wont start????

did you take the timing cover off when putting the chain back on to make sure it was right on the bottom sprocket? it can be off on the bottom and still look right on the cams

It needed a new cam sensor. Now the car is overheating and the heat doesn’t work.

Sounds like there is no coolant flow. Either there is a blocked line, thermostat is stuck closed, or the water pump is bad.

Or your blowing combustion into the cooling system.

so I had to take the main coolant hose from the radiator to the head and pour coolant down into the engine until I couldn’t fit anymore and now my heat works and all

May have just been a bad air pocket. That's what that little fitting above the upper rad hose on the head is for.

yup, bad bubble. the SC version has a high spot going over the SC snout so that's actually the book way to fill it. For the other engines, squeezing the return line helps get the bubbles out.

when i did the top end on my lsj i filled the head before putting the hose on, after that just kept filling the pressure bottle and it bled itself over a short period of time. i was a little suprised because i've had other pressure bottle engines and they were a pain in the ass

Now that my Heat exchanger and Lamanova manifold are both vented to the reservoir, it bleeds its self. Never had a problem with the Radiator not bleeding properly. I wonder of some of the bleed ports are getting plugged. It's not a very big opening.

how did you vent your s/c coolant system to the reservoir?i hate the stock filler neck of the s/c coolant system it keeps blowing out when its hot and sucking some air in.
did you T that overflow line off the filler neck into the hose from the bleeder on the engine coolant?

Purchase the Option (B) kit. This pic doesn't show the T I made for both to return back but they are both there now.
