2009 Cobalt LS doesn`t have a fuel filter??

At least not where everyone is saying it is. I traced the fuel lines from the tank to the engine, and just cannot find this thing. It is a 2009 LS and is not a Cali car (I am on the east coast). Below are some pics of the area around the rear axle. Am I missing something??

Most likely a Cali emissions car. Filter is inside the tank.

Lift hood and find emissions sticker. See if it qualifies for Cali emissions

Ahh, great. I wonder how a 2009 with only 8000 miles made its way all this way out here! So I gotta drop the tank to replace the filter every 30,000 miles or so?
Thanks everyone.

Wtf is the emission benefit of an inside tank filter? That's just stupid IMO. But then again so is the west coast.

I thought they moved to all in tank after like 08.

I'm probably wrong. My 06 LS has replaceable filter.

I wouldn't worry about ever replacing it. I would just use high quality gas and move on.
