ABS light code C0035

Hello Everyone! I’m new to the site and didn’t see anything like this on here yet. I have an abs light on my car and I went and had the code read at one of my friends house, it came up as C0035 . It stated that the front left abs speed sensor was the cause of the light. I am wondering if there are anything I should try before trying to replace something. If I need to get something to replace it can I just find a new speeed sensor or do I need the whole hub assembly? I have a 2006 Chevy cobalt lt.

The sensor is a part of the hub. You could check the wiring to the abs module first. Also you could look at resistance for the sensor.

So with the resistance, how to I check that on this car?

I see many cracked speed sensor magnets. The winding will ohm out ok but the amplitude is crap. An ohm reading will find an open sensor which is slim considering the high flex wiring used.
