ABS light problems?

Man long time since I been here. Used to be on here regularly but with a new wife and baby on the way well I've been very busy Anyways onto my problem. I have an '05 SS S/C and my ABS light comes on. Sometimes very frequently. If I turn off the car and restart it goes away. I've noticed it always comes on when I hit a bump, no matter how small or large. Even dips in the road will do it. I'm no expert on brakes but what kind of sensors or wires could be getting tugged at to cause my ABS light to come on? I really don't have the money right now to take it anyway and was hoping to diagnose this myself. Any info is much appreciated!

Ive been having a similar problem only the TCS light comes on as well.......Took it to the dealrship this morning and turned out to be a loose wire in the Left front fender well. Just my input, becase your TCS light isnt comeing on it might be a different problem.

I'm just trying to diagnose the problem without going to the shop if it's a simple fix. I checked the fluid level and it was a bit low so I topped it off and on the ride back home it didn't come on. Typically it will as I turn onto my street as its uphill and real bumpy. I've got my fingers crossed but I expect it to just return tommorow eventually. What other things can I check for without going to the shop?

I have an 05 with 55,000 miles... my ABS light has been on constantly ever since 52,000 miles.

I think that a sensor has just gone bad. And I don't think that there is a Cheap Fix.

you could check all electrical connections including wheel speed sensors, according to my haynes manual it says check fluid level and electrical connections, if that doesnt fix it take it to the dealer

you have more than a 30k warranty.

mine does it sometimes too. about once every 6 months. i just unhook the battery for 10, and it goes out. usually, it's just a wheel speed sensor, they're like, $50

I just went to the dealer this past week and as it turns out is a bad hub and bearing causing the ABS system to throw code C0045 I believe is the code. Code read something like irratic signal coming from that wheel. Anyways I'm set up to have it repaired this thursday and I hope it will last until then. Hell the ABS light has been coming on for like 3 months or so and I haven't noticed it get any worse. There is a slight tug to one side and a squeek in the wheel at slow speed but I was just assuming worn brake pads. Anyways, glad to have a diagnosis and anyone else with ABS light issues might wanna get it checked ASAP maybe your hub and/or bearing has gone bad to.
