air conditioner fan problem

ok i guess there is a fan under the dash on the passenger side of the car? there is a sound coming from that spot and its annoying; it sounds like a bearing is going out in one of the fans and when the ac is on 1 or 2 you can hear it and it is really annoying. anyone else have this problem? and if so how did you fix it? was it hard to change the fan out or what? its not under warranty anymore

i have a similar issue. im not sure if its that the compressor clutch isnt engaging but my is an on and off thing. noisy for a few then quiet. plus the air isnt as cold as it used to be. i called the dealer, they told me to bring it in cause its still under warranty. i suggest you do the same

i have the same problem but they won't do anything about it because everytime i bring it in it won't make the noise and finally one day i was pasin by and i brought it in when the noise was goin on and as soon as i pulled in to talk to them it stopped!!

a little bit of that....

I had the same problem too with my old car. I had to bring it to the mechanic because it had a squeaking noise every time the a/c is turned on. After the 3rd time of going back to my mechanic, with the problem unresolved, I had to sell the car. Finally, got myself a new car.

yep i have the same problem i'm going to have to take it in, funny cause someone told me it was the compressor clutch cause that problem cause when i turn the car on and turn the ac on it does this weird vibration that comes from the exhaust and the rpm's drop under 1000rpm and stay around 500rpm and the tach lights dim also so something is wrong their and the ac isn't as cold anymore.

It is the blower. Located under the passenger side dash. I had mine replaced under warranty for the same thing so I don't know how hard it is to get in a replace it. if I had to guess... probably a good 2 or 3 hour job... maybe even 4 hours depending on how much of a bitch it is to get to the fan.

ok thanks guys...i guess ill have to take it in and see how much it would be for them to work on it....its not under warranty
