That's how the system is designed to work.

When you put heat to the floor vents, the designers of the A/C system took into account that the windows might be fogging up a bit due to the cold.

Pretty stupid of them to assume that we are too stupid to blend it between floor and defrost.

It works both ways. When u choose the floor, it blows alot floor and a little defrost. When u choose defrost, it blows alot defrost and a little floor. Something with the way the air deflectors work in the dash.

This is done to minimize the temperature differential from the floor to the headliner as well as to help keep the air moving at all levels in the interior to control moisture and stop mildew, fungi, carpet rot, etc...

Basically, all cars in the past 5 years have an HVAC system that functions in the same manner..it has nothing to do with driver's IQ levels -> that is what ABS, Traction control, Vehicle stability control, EBD, and automatic transmissions are for... j/k
