Airbag problems

So the past couple weeks my service airbag soon light on my dash is been going on and off throughout the day. Sometimes it stays on the whole ride other times it doesn't but it definitely comes out at least once a day. So I'm guessing it's a sensor are they expensive? Also I noticed the passenger airbag light is off when no one is in the seat also when someone sits in the seat still reads off idk if that has anything to do with it

Thanks for any help or input

Could be wrong but I think with the sensor and labor its around a $700 bill

Really what would they have to fo?

Could be many things. Does the passenger airbag come on when someone is sitting in it AND the light is not on? There are quite a few things it could be. Mine turned out to be my steering wheel clockspring, however it would come on and off over and over.

Also can be the wires at the base of the passenger seatbelt where it anchors on the floor. Also could be the actual seat sensor.

My pass airbag light is always lit up off no matter if someone is sitting in seat or not?

Most likely its the presence module. I have the same issue

It's a common issue. Dealer here wanted $800.. told em to screw off. That's some ridiculous stuff.

One of these days I'll take the seat out and see if there is a short in there somewhere..

Check the wiring under the pass seat for pinched or broken wires.

If you find any disconnect the battery before attempting repairs ;)
