So does the idle ever actually settle down to where it is supposed to sit? If you are idling at a higher rpm it will pull more vacuum on the gauge even though it is flowing more air than it should. I would check for vacuum leaks. You said you don't see any anywhere but wondered if you have tested for them yet.

yeah it does.

free revving it in neutral its pretty normal. but coasting to a stop or something especially in first gear. it revvs up to like 2500rpm and hangs there for 2-5 seconds then drops to normal

Vacuum at idle should be 18-20.

What is that code?

Vacuum leak or throttle body issue would be my guess.

Did you move the blade on the throttle boy much?

I didn't move it.

The code is new it's for the bypass valve.

When I turn the car on it idles normal with normal vac for about 3 seconds then all of a sudden it chnages. When I look at the bypass the rod is pulled all the way in. I can't remmeebr is that's how it's supposed to be

can runs great. LOUD AF. very obnoxious.

getting a new muffler put on this week. waiting on exhaust shop.

had some coolant leak out of the intercooling system, couple of the clamps on the end plate needed re tightened.

i love the car again. except the noise.... lol can't wait till its silent but deadly with only s/c whine.

the car rips tho with this exhaust setup. just cant' take the noise. makes that horrible buzzing

i finally fixed the hesitation between shifts. i went to put a new maf sensor in it and when i unbolted the maf housing from the fender it fell out of the tube. i forgot to tighten the hose clamp and it was just flopping around in there. i guess it wasn't leaking enough to make it run bad all the time i guess.

runs pretty good now and a lot smoother.

got a bad exhaust leak after only a week or so. the gaskets that come with the ebay headers are really thin and shitty.

this felpro gasket was $3 at napa. probably 2x or 3x as thick as the one that came with the header.

also i think the header gasket is leaking too. its hard to see up in there but i can still hear a little leak and thats the only place left. i would've reused the metal gasket that was on there but the port holes are tiny. i still have it. maybe i can dremmel it out a little bit, or else just buy a gasket made for a header from someone like zzp or ottp. i haven't looked at their sites yet if they just sell them seperate.

kinda annoying. if you want to go with the ebay header save yourself some trouble and just buy a couple good gaskets and throw the ones that come with it in the garbage.

other than that the ebay header fits fine and seems ok. it sounds terrible that just comes with the non turbo 4 banger territory.

dunno what i was thinking, i'm used to aftermarket heads w/ headers.

i should just reuse the stock metal gasket or just buy one, they're like $10 bucks. the head ports fit the gasket even tho the header ports are bigger. won't make a difference.
