Question BPS and TPS SES Codes- Need some help.

I'm looking at picking up a 2006 SS/SC that's been around the block a time or two.

It's currently throwing 3 codes, P0121, P0128, and P2229

I was planning on replacing the Coolant Sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, and Barometric Pressure Sensor.

The coolant sensor code is typically just a sensor failure on every car I've experienced a failure on. I ain't even worried.

The TPS sensor code: Is the TPS integrated into the Throttle Body? I can't find an independent sensor...

The BPS Code: Is the BPS called the MAP at the parts stores? I don't have a manual and I normally don't mess with these cars. I would expect purely from the name that the BPS is the MAP.

Thanks in advance folks

Baro sensor is separate from the MAP. Baro is a 3 wire sensor and MAP is a 4 wire because it also has iat2 in it. It is sometimes referred to as a TMAP (temperature and map).

TPS is part of the throttle body. Must replace the whole unit.

That's good info. I couldn't find it easily using the forum search function. I hate that the TPS is integrated. That's a PITA.

He has an LSJ. It's fairly easier.

Take intake off.
Unplug throttle body connecter underneath
disconect evap hose on front of throttle body
remove the 4 10mm bolts that hold the throttlebody on
then reverse process
