Brake Switch

Anyone ever have a prob with the brake switch?
was following my gf driving my car last night and the brakes kept going on/off and she wasn't applying the brakes. few weeks ago i was having a problem where the brake lights were lit at all times, than they werent lit at all after i pumpped the brake a few times. i unplugged the brake switch and plugged back in and the problem went away. thought i had no problem as the brakes worked but i saw this last night so i was like wtf.

car did have a p0573 code as well with no cel.

From what I've read yes, the brake light switches are known to fail and do strange stuff.

It's cheap to replace. Just do it if there's any doubt.

I want to know if anyone had a picture of the location of the brake light switch. I went to replace mine, and the old one is not there. I got a replacement, but there is nothing there to screw it into. Now a little ways down is something that look like a pin to attach a switch to, but its on the left side of the brake pedal lever, not the top were GM claims it is.

This site is almost dead. No one is really helping each other anymore. I'll try to get you a pic today.
