Broken wire at base of seat belt
Hey all,
My service airbag light illuminates shortly after I start the car. Upon inspection I noticed at the base of the passenger side seat belt the blue wire is broke right at the connector (where the seat belt bracket bolts into the floor) Other than getting a whole new seat belt set up, is there a fix to this?
If not fixed, will it affect the operation of the airbag if there is a passenger?
Right now, it's more of an annoyance, but my concern is the safety of the passenger.
Thanks

I would, but the problem is that it separated right at the base of the connector. Is that connector somehow removable from the seat belt bracket, to where I can get in and reconnect the wire? I guess if it doesn't cause any safety issues with the air bag, I might just let it go, but I'd like to somehow reconnect the wire if possible.
Thanks

Being an airbag connection I'm not sure if it'd work or be perfectly safe. I work as a repair planner in a body shop and it's usually remove and replace on all related airbag components.
