Car Alarm goes off even with FOB

This is for anyone who is having issues with their Cobalt's Alarm going off even when using the FOB.

Check your interior Door locks. if the interior door locks don't work, that might be why your alarm goes off. My alarm kept going off no matter what I did even using the FOB. Turns out my interior door locks never worked. Swapped the button with one I found at the U-pull and no more alarm.

Also, the driver side lock controls the passenger side.

Clarification on his drivers side lock controls the passenger side. If the passenger and drivers side do not work, start with the drivers side if you have to buy the switches new. Because the passenger side won't work is the drivers side is bad.

Good info guys

I wish i could figure out why my aftermarket alarm goes off every time I start the car. I don't even know why the PO put the stupid thing on there.
