Check the bottom of your doors!!
I was cleaning my car the other day and i seen that on the bottom of the door where the weather strip meets the door is rubbing the paint of to bare metal.I'm a painter at a body shop so i fixed it myself but thats the first place you will get rust.

mine's doing the same thing... GM told me its because I have aftermarket wheels and 1 size bigger tires. Same thing for the paint coming off the rockers, both bumpers and the quarter panel.
Those are some tires, no?

They insist that those BF Goodrich tires are responsible... Maybe its just their paint is cheap, thin and falling off the car? Oh no, that can't be happening...

You should be taking it to the next level, get GM customer service in on it. You will be amazed what a dealer will do for you once they get a phone call. Rim ad tires voiding warrenty, common your getting the shaft.

I keep the painted parts of the insides of my doors waxed fairly regularly... maybe every other time I wax the exterior... haven't seen evidence of any problems yet... but I'll have to check.

A good way to keep it from rubbin off is 3m makes a clear stone chip tape you can cut a piece as long as the door and put it on. I also did that when i repainted my bottoms

Use silicon grease (I think they call it dielectric grease)
Silicon grease lightly applied on the weather strip will also keep your doors from freezing shut when you
wash it in the winter.
Do not use any type of petroleum product for this ,because it will swell and degrade your weather strpping.

from my understanding, the people that purchased my car from the dealer had to have parts of the car repainted due to the problem. To their credit, they were smart enough to put the stock rims back on the car...
