Key turning off

Ok so i'm up in New York City now days and the roads SUCK and i noticed that if i hit a bump (unexpectedly of course) too hard my key will rotate back to the OFF position.... not a HUGE deal i just have to put it back to run and pop the clutch, but still not good. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, i did a search for key issues etc but didn't turn anything up. Any advice would be appriciated. Thanks!

Got a lot of keys hanging off your key chain? Gravity pulling them down enough that a bump turns the key?

Best guess I have on this on.....

Also, the weight from any extra keys hanging on your ignition cylinder will make it become lose and need to be replaced eventually. either way, it sounds like you have a bad one.

If the ignition cylinder was just replaced and the old design part was used, its possible the tumbler spring plate is coming loose again. Take it in and have it checked out. That's what a warranty is for.
