Exclamation cold start= cammed sound.

this morning i go to hop in my cobalt, fire it up and it sounds like i have a cam. idles like pure **** and then sounds like it is nearing to stall but it catches itself and then the idle jumps up to about 1500 RPM. then it will proceed to warm up as normal at around 1200RPMS

this happend this morning and i thought maybe it was some freak thing but as i left work this afternoon it happend to me again.

no CEL's or anything. on my way home it drove just fine and idled in traffic just fine too!

please helppp!

of course i was going to put my intercooler and hotside pipe on this weekend but i need to figure this out,so i can put the rest of my stuff on and get a real tune.

your thoughts?

I get this every cold start. Sometimes it takes 3 tries for her to fire.

Mine does this also. I'm wondering if mine's because I don't have cats and it cycles through the cat warmup (stock tune). It's weird though because if I shut it off and start it again, it's fine. It's not gas either, I always use 93 octane, shell. I honestly don't know. I know a friend of mine is tuned and he gets the same thing (not quite as harsh). Wondering if it's the nature of the beast?
