condensation in headlights

condensation in headlights

i have condensation in my head light. is that under the warranty or are they gunna tell me its something else. i have had the car for about a month and finally had heavy rain and just got condensation yesterday... if they do it under waranty what do i get? a new head light or do they take it apart and redo the seal??

Unless you've taken apart your headlights to paint them or something like that, you should be fine warranty-wise. Not sure whether or not the dealer would give you a new light or just open it and reseal. If you want to avoid all that, you can just pop the headlight out of the car (kinda a bitch the first time you do it), put a blow dryer through the headlight bulb "hole" and it'll dry up the condensation in there. Then if you want just run a bead of silicone (Walmart, Pepboys, etc) around the edge of the housing where the stock sealant is. Reinstall, and you should be good to go.
