Confusing A/C issue.

Hey Ya'll really hoping I can get some advice on how to approach what's going on.

So, I bought a 06 LSJ, seems to have been run through pretty hard. It's got the modular pulley setup (factory diameter I believe, only producing about 12psi) dual pass option b, full ZZP exhaust, and a few other aftermarket bits.

Since I have owned it, about a year and a half now, I've never felt the a/c blow cold.

Here's where hopefully someone's experience comes into play. The compressor never attempts to kick on, even though the car idles up like it's got more of a load. I got a good deal on a compressor and line pressure switch, swapped them out and recharged(best I could anyway with the new compressor not working either.)

I used a test light to check for voltage at the compressor clutch. It stays extremely dimly lit regardless of what the a/c switch is doing. I even tried a new climate control panel, no luck.

Anyone heard of this or have any ideas? GM's can bus approach to overcomplicate simple on/off tasks is beyond frustrating.

Could the a/c have been previously tuned out? If so, is there a way other than the dealer to restore the a/c?

Ya'll can go ahead and disregard this post. I feel silly, but apparently I didn't take my time the first time I checked everything, and failed to find that the compressor had no ground.

Traced it to a pinch, spliced and repaired it, and now I'm enjoying cold a/c.

I was gonna say, if your light is dim, check your power and grounds lol. Glad you got it sorted out.

I was just overthinking it by a mile. I checked for power multiple times. Never thought about the ground until I walked away and left it alone for a while.
