Could i get this done under warranty?

I got my oil changed and the tech at my shop also did a walk around inspection and greased fittings etc. they told me my rotors were warped and that i would need new pads and rotors my question is would i need drums and shoes as well? and is this something that can be done under warranty?
thanks in advance!

No on warranty, those are wear parts. Normally drums last much much longer than rotors

Do you notice the warped rotors in your brake pedal or stopping slow?

Also wearable items aren't covered with a warranty but do it yourself and it's very cheap.

theres no pulsation from what i can feel in the pedal and the brakes don't seem bad at all when im using them at slower speeds.
i dont want to think they're trying to get me for money but its starting to seem that way. :P

He was trying to get more work out of you. You can still check them yourself to make sure you dont need new pads (general rule of thumb if the pad material is at or less than the backing material you need new pads). Also you could check the rotor thickness to make sure its not worn to much

Man I wish I could look at rotors and tell you if they're warped. Unless he measured them, don't listen to him. If he did, ask what the measurements were. And what was his reason for new pads? If they measured at 1-3 mm I can see why.

around ithaca ny.
mostly country. lots of potholes, crap roads, and backroads lol.
but I also forgot to mention to you guys that i got my car from a dealership in my area a little over 3000 miles ago, so once again im asking myself isn't this something a dealer should have to check before they can sell a car? if its not okay im **** out of luck and have to do a brake and rotor job, but if it is something they have to check or being that it is from the dealer only 3000 miles ago, should i really have to change my brakes and rotors already?
