Unhappy F35 transmission, I think I made a huge mistake!!

So I’ve gouged the the mating surface for the spot the holds the differential bearing and from what I’ve heard this has to do with the preload of the bearing. Am I screwed? Do I need a new case? What can I do?

It is back in the car I was in kind of a hurry just would love to know how much of an issue this could be. If it is a major issues where can I even buy a decently priced on of these f35 transmissions? Or even the parts. Can’t seem to find either anywhere. Just don’t wanna put everything back together for it to work again

did you gouge the aluminum transmission case, or did you gouge the bearing cup itself?

I gouged the case. It’s coming back out tonight and I’m gonna double check everything. My buddies coming over and I think we’re gonna at least take the case apart and check everything out anyways.

if you scratched the aluminum case, but the cup it ok, the cup should go in place just fine and be alright
