I have an 05 ss with about 99k miles on it. In the last week, a 1.5 inch long crack has developed on the bottom of the stock downpipe flex joint. Has anybody else had this happen this early? If so, did anyone have luck claiming that it should be covered as part of the emissions control system warranty since it was leaking pre-cat?

 

99k miles is not early. Emissions only covers up to 80k miles.
