HID Problem

hey all
i'm having trouble with my new HID kit i bought!! i bought one and it didn't work!! it was the one with the relay built right in etc, then i just went out and bought a $200m RTX 6000k kit mostly plug and play power from the ballast , 2 plugs from the bulb and the blue clip in piece for the stock plug!! now my problem is my HID bulbs have to different bulbs in one on is a halogen & the other is the HID, if i have one normal halogen plugged in and one HID bulb the "Halogen" bulb in the HID bulb will light up, if both HID bulbs are plugged in none will work!! and the HID part of the bulb won't even light up on any either way?? we checked all the wires to make sure there hooked up right (me & a buddy) thought i was missing something and he has delt with HID's b4!! has anyone ever had this problem b4?? if i can't get it figured out i'll have to goto the performance shop and get em installed professionally!!

*** also donno if it matters but my car is a 06 SS/SC DRL's are the park lights!!***

(ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!)

Er.... kinda hard to understand the post a bit... but I think you're probably not getting enough power through the provided harness since it draws from the stock wiring of the car... the better harness to get is one that draws the power directly from the battery and uses the stock wiring for turning it on and off.

your confusing yourself...

there is an HID bulb
there is a halogen bulb..

i dont understand why you are saying the halogen part of an HID bulb... there is no such thing... lol

Yea makes sense to me I bet that post is confusing..lol

Sounds like you are wiring them wrong,Series parallel problem. In parallel they both get 12 volts if hooked in series the bulbs then get half voltage each (6 volts) and in the case of halogen or hids they wont light up ,(Both lights negative has to hook to a negative wire and positive to positive)
Incadecent bulbs would light up half brightness in the same situation.
Follow it through again.

I'm thinking he was talking about the 9007 Hi/Low kit that some people buy for these cars. It has a HID ballast, but the bulb has both a HID bulb AND a halogen bulb on the same base. The halogen bulb on that base is used for the high beam function that is lost whenever using HID in a 9004 or 9007 socket light.

yeah the exact kit i bought it's a plug and play HID kit for 9007 has a halogen high beam and the low beam is 6000k HID...can't get it to work got a apt at a performance shop on thursday hopefully they can get them working i fucking give up!!

I have a feeling that your low beam circuit isn't providing enough power to keep the ballasts running... you will likely need to hack up the kit a bit and set the HID ballasts to be fed from the remote battery terminal rather than directly from the GM wiring.

yeah that's what buddy was saying at the performance shope might have to hack into the harness and stuff i was like your not gonna hack into the stock harness are you? he said now just the HID harness won't cut my car to shit he said which is good! so maybe they'll have to install a relay or something?? cause the HID bulbs won't even light up a little bit not a flicker or anything!!
