Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

High Beams won't turn on when stick pushed forward, but will when pulled back.

Unhappy High Beams won't turn on when stick pushed forward, but will when pulled back.

I don't know if it's a recent problem or not, but when I push the left stick forward, it will not turn the brights on. They will however turn on if you pull it towards you. Now, when I turn the knob at the end of the stick, and then push the stick forward, the brights stay on. Did I blow a fuse? Which one?

If this is occurring with the autolights, I'm gonna say that the control stick is bad.

I installed 3rd gen projectors. only spliced the halos to the daytime running lights. That's why I suspected a burnt fuse. I appreciate the help.

If it helps any, the icon on the dash board does appears when i pull the stick back. It does not light up when I push it forward.

Is it just too much power to the headlights or did i screw something up wiring them?

Just unplugged the highbeam fuses and plugged them back in for lack of a better idea. That must have reset something, because they're working now.

take it in and get the switch replaced, that should be your problem. Sounds like the foreword flick that turns on the high beams isn't working.

that's a different direction on the switch though, could just be that one direction.

nooonono, when i pull back it works all the time, it periodically works when i push it forward. I have to keep taking the fuses out and putting them back in to get that direction of the control stick working again

IVe seen stuff like that before.
Happens to other electronic devices as well. Home PCs, aircraft avionics ect...

Take the fuse out, spray either rubing alchole or an electrical contact cleaner in the slot where the fues goes, and put in a NEW fues (same type/rateing) that SHOULD get you back going again.
