How to close sunroof with broken switch
Hello. My sunroof won't close. Seems like the switch just stopped working. I want to try and close it by unplugging the switch and kind of hot wiring it. Does anyone know which pins to on the female connector to hit to cause it to close?

E to C +
A to D - |
Thanks for the info. Have to admit i don't really know what i'm done. To confirm, is that two separate wires? one wire from E to C and another seperate wire to A to D?

Yes, unplug all 5
Connect E to C for power Connect A to D for ground |
I was thinking of leaving the wires in the connector and using a jumper (wire with ends stripped) and jumping e to c and a to d. I'm assuming that should work as well.

No... do not do that. If your switch is shorted you will start to melt wires.
Did you check your 15amp fuse? |
No i haven't checked the fuse yet. The sunroof has working on and off for the last week or so. That is why i'm thinking it might be the switch. I might have described it wrong. I have unplugged the switch and am left with the female connector hanging from my roof. Was thinking of jumping it similar to this video

Yes, you can jumper the terminals listed in the bulk connector.
|
Can't you just shove it shut? I hardly ever use mine.
|
You could shove it shut.... once. It uses the gear and spiral cable mechanism and both sides are in time. I completely removed mine to clean the headliner and clean and re-grease the tracks as well as clean out the drains. You force it and the cables jump out of time.
