Hey guys, I just installed the Ottp long tube header on my car now my car is idling funny when I hit the gas. In also getting 190 misfires and a blinking check engine light . Code is p0036 I also installed zzp ignition coils... Which might be the cause now that I'm thinking about it. Other relevant mods are ported head, tvs with 2.9 pulley, and Siemens 80lbs injectors. Also the Ottp header didn't come with a spot for my rear o2 sensor so I just left it off. I assume that when I had my car tuned the tuner said that he turned it off could that be the issue? Maybe I need to have the tube redone? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I feel stupid just googled the code. It is the lack of that sensor so I guess I just need to get that sorted out, mods can lock this thread

You gotta understand physics to understand what catless exhaust system did to your car lol.

Having a rear o2 code doesnt cause misfires

Chances are its something to do with your coils or the tuning. Zzp had some faulty ones.

Haven07 Apr 16, 2016 06:49 PM

It was the coils! I have codes for the 02 sensor still but those can be tuned out. Guess I need email zzp about these ignition coils

But the car will at least hold idle, still need to get tuned for these long tubes once I get the full exhaust welded on this week

Changing out the coils helped a lot but would a combination of the primary o2 sensor being relocated and using a o2 extension harness affect my car? Also going from catted to catless. Car still dies on deck and fuel Trina are all over the place

Whose extension harness is it?

I have found the harnesses blow ass and that cutting and soldiering in proper wire works best.

This, extension harnesses are crap. Just make sure you soldier like NASA does (note it's a modification of NASA's method, since braided wire vs solid wire) Splice Cable Like A Rocket Scientist

It's a harness from zzp.

So I have to cut and extend my harness manually? Should I extend from the engine harness or the o2 sensor?

Haven07 Apr 18, 2016 07:30 AM

Also, would anyone know the size wire I should grab?

16ga automotove wire

Haven07 Apr 18, 2016 12:59 PM

Thx, just picked some up hopefully I can try it out tomorrow before work

Success!! My car works now! Didn't need to cut my harness just managed to get enough slack out of it to connect the sensor to the harness. Tomorrow she's off to exhaust shop to have the rest of the exhaust welded on
