Sweet LNF, Bro!

And this is why I change my own oil and only use premium oil AND FILTERS! I don't know what junk shit oil filter I pulled out of the block... but it was junk shit and black as night. Oil smelled like a dead dog too.

My 95,000 mile LSJ looked brand new when I opened it up (Amsoil 5W/30 w/ an AC Delco Filter from CED every 7k miles). This 46,000 mile LNF looks worse than my friend's 250,000 mile Audi did.

I used to use Mobil 1. Its great stuff but I'm done with it. Its too thin for my liking.

Sound be fine if its a Chevy Dealership. They should be using Mobil 1 5W30 and AC Delco filters. Just make sure you aren't doing it at 3,000 miles. Mobil 1 should really be taken to 5-7k. The Oil Life Indicator on the DIC is good to use... it is fairly accurate.

I would just DIY, dealer are retarded. My dad took his lesabre into the dealer for an oil change, took forever. First they had to come in and ask my dad where the drain plug was, and then they couldn't get it unscrewed. He essentially did the change himself, and noo he did not pay for it.

Plus if your a base it's a no brainer given that it's a 10 min job

Yes it is a Chev dealer. I usually go around 5000-5300kms (3100-3300miles) whenever I get an oil change they put this little sticker on the windshield for when I should bring it back, they usually tack on 5000kms. So I should wait until I get to around 8000kms before changes?

Yes. It is not necessary to change Mobil 1 at 3,000 miles.

Sweet thanks. I would want to DIY but I heard that if you DIY and something happens to the engine Warranty could be voided.
Off topic I f'n love your sig (no homo) the bronze rims look sick in the rolling shot.

Thanks... and as long as you keep documentation of your oil changes (mileage change intervals w/ receipts for filter & oil), you're fine.

If you're feeling froggy, you can get in touch with Blackstone Labs and do an Oil Test.

You can have the oil analysed, It's around $25 iirc, Blackstone Labs, More if you want the oil additive life remaining tested. The lab recommends taking the sample from the middle of a warm drain stream. They will send you a sample bottle/shipping kit free & postage to send the sample in is $1.60
