LNF boost randomly drops to 10-12 PSI

Hey guys,

Recently bought an 09 LNF about 2 months ago. Solid car, needed a new MAP sensor and some new brakes. Other than that, I love it. Coming from a 04 WRX this car blows it out of the water.

As of late, however, the boost has been almost in a "limp mode" where the PSI drops to about 10-12 on WOT, but comes back randomly.

I've found the source of the problem as the cold air intake that was installed prior to me owning the car. Its a really crappy looking intake with the MAF sensor kinda.. welded/glued on. Going for a ZZP high flow soon...

I've found a workaround for it though. When I turn off the car, unplug the MAF connector, wait a couple seconds, and plug it back in, full boost is back.

Would just replacing the sensor / wires / connectors solve this problem for good? I've already done a vacuum test and it was good, besides the fact that the current cold air intake pops off at the base... piece of s***.

Also, the PCV hose isn't connected. Connector was broken when I bought the car. Didn't know what it was until I researched it. How hard is that to fix/replace?
