Lots of upgrades...where's the power?

So I just recently took my car in for lots of modding and just got it back...

MyPowerMods:
K&N Intake
2.6
60 siemens
NGK irradium 2 steps cloder
ZZP shorty Header
ZZP Catless 2.5 Downpipe
Corsa Touring Exhaust
CA Heat Exchanger
Dual Bypass End Plate
Meth/Water Kit....
Elavation- 2200ft

So here's the scoop with all that i was expecting around 280whp considering what i've seen from the Dyno Thread on here and some peoples Mods...But I ended up with only 256whp on the Dyno  I was like what the!? This makes no sense to me at all and can't wrap my head around it...My AFR is saying 11.9 at WOT on my wideband gauge...is it a bad tune or what?? should it be running leaner more like 12.4 or something?...And i also lost quite a bit of Low End right up to 2500rpm i'd have to say:thumbsdow....And another thing...is the AFR suppose to jump around even when you have cruise control on at the same RPM?? I don't alot about tuning yet so i just thought i'd ask.. I also have crazy misfires going on at Idle right on up to about 2200rpms then stops... it's also not Idleing at all like it was before when i brought it in bone stock... its all over the place!

Please Help or explaination whats going on...I don't know where to start or if i should just get another tune by someone else..

2.6 is killing your supercharger thats why. your way past what is effiecient power and just generating more heat

also are those dynojet or mustang dyno

and yes at any steady rpm the AFR will be searching and go anywehre from 14.4-14.8 usually trying to get the perfect 14.6

thats 3 more than what some one with a 2.5 had, i would say get a bigger pulley, stay in the 2.8-2.7 range and get some more supporting mods(ie cams, etc) and watch the numbers climb, for a bigger climb ditch the m62 and get some better(turbo, tvs, procharger)..

LScoupeTUNER 06-12-2008 01:56 AM

cooling mods FTMFW...

dza39 06-12-2008 02:06 AM

lots of guys are running 2.6 with my mods and seeing bigger numbers than me....It was a Dyno Jet....i should have enough cooling mods my temps all read normal...so that ain't

silentd 06-12-2008 02:08 AM

i pulled the same numbers on a dynojet with just stage 2, intake, headers back.... 260 / 240

my car that did 253 whp, it also trapped over 86 mph in the 1/8th. Take it for what you will but dyno numbers are just that numbers and nothing more.

silentd 06-12-2008 02:25 AM

i agree. to the op take it to the track and see

Sharkey 06-12-2008 02:32 AM

get the tune sorted out, obviously you have issues if its not idling properly. sort that out first, drop down to a 2.7" pulley and retune it, then see what it does.

Dayta 06-12-2008 06:07 AM

i made 253hp and 240 ft lbs with

2.7
60s injectors
Meth, with Boost juice
K&N intake
and stock exhaust

run a bigger pulley man

AlphaJaguar5 06-12-2008 09:24 AM

Your plugs are way to cold and your pulley shouldn't be less than a 2.8"

Get some nice copper BKR7E's and your set.

Also check your meth, if your spray too much you'll loose power also.

dza39 06-13-2008 01:07 AM

Too Cold of plugs? lots of guys are running 0.35 gaps on their plugs... does anyone know what a good AFR would be with running Meth

I'm thinking it must be mostly in the tune....just stage 2 alone with no other mods is suppose to be 241whp and i only ended up with 15 more than that....lame

I'm not try to be an ass here but you need to read up on basic engine knowledge a little bit before you keep playing with your car.

"Cold" refers to the heat range of the plug not the gap size.

Also, Copper plugs are best for boosted cars as they have a better heat charge. They go out faster but they are a better more reliable plug.

Iridium's are nice but not the best plug option for a boosted car.

06blackg85ss 06-13-2008 09:23 AM

iridiums not good for boosted cars? are you kidding me? they are the only plugs that don't blow out in my car. Anything else I've tried runs like shit.

06blackg85ss 06-13-2008 10:10 AM

With the crazy cyl pressure's I run I use the 2 step colder brke8ix I think is the model. I've tried the copper, they just die out after 2-3 weeks, zex, well I"m not getting into those. But I've had these NGKs in my car now since I first went turbo about 10k miles ago. and they still function good as new, no spark blowout, no studder, nice and smooth each time everytime.

what??? hes running a 2.6 dude, those plugs are fine

i have been running the step 2s off of zzp. no issues with my car at all. pushing 4*extra of timing. love them things. and usually when you get colder the spark gap drops

Damn, i've been running autolites for ever, never had a problem

06blackg85ss 06-13-2008 10:24 AM

eh they just blow out on my car above 6300 rpm, with the brk's I can run straight to 7k without a hiccup

I wouldn't blame the plugs on that.

06blackg85ss 06-13-2008 11:01 AM

I would, since I swapped through everytype and only one worked out with no issues

I know what pulley he's running.

He asked why his car is screwed up and I'm giving him the correct info so he can use it to fix his cars problems.

Blower shouldn't be pullied below a 2.8", a 2.9" if you want it to be happy.

Maybe the coil packs can't deliver a hot enough charge for all the air your cramming in.

Just thinking aloud here.

D4u2s0t 06-13-2008 11:29 AM

i don't get why people get so upset over a dyno #. it's just a #, and in all reality it doesn't really mean anything unless you're using a dyno to tune.

I would have to agree with you there,.
