Exclamation LSJ excessive blow by, Bad Gas milage and P0068, P1182

So I have been searching the forums with no luck on a solution to my problem. Car is a stock motor LSJ with only a K&N intake, Filter cleaned about 6k miles ago. Car has 102k on the clock. Oil change done about 2k ago with Mobil 1.

Cruising about a week ago i got the ENG PWR REDUCE mesaage on the dash, pulled the codes P0068 P1182. Pulled out my MAF , MAP(SCIP), and TMAP. MAF was clean the other 2 where dirty and covered with oil residue. (I'll try and upload the TMAP pic later).

At the same time of removing the senors the intake and TB were checked. Both covered with oil from the excessive blow by am getting. I cleaned both, started the car and no problem and has driven well since for the most part. Some time it take 2 cranks to start.

The past 2-3 weeks I noticed my MPG have gone down drastically along with the car feel sluggish and not as peppy. I normally get 330-380 miles to the tank. And now am barely getting over 200 miles. I havent checked the intake and tb if blow by has built up again plan to soon. But am hoping to get opinions and thought on what to check.

From what I did find in the search is I could put a breather on the hose from the valve to the intake so I no longer get blow by entering the system, but that is only a temp solution and doesn't solve the problem. Then there is the option of a catch can. But because am mostly stock I still dont feel this is resolving my issue.

Do a compression test and a leakdown test. Or one or the other. Cimpression test will give you an idea if the engine is worn out. Leakdown test will tell you for sure.

Okay so checked the intake and tb again, no more oil residue is building up. Also I havent gotten the codes in since I last got them almost 2 weeks ago. Also pulled the plugs and they looked good, if anything maybe a lil hot

Still not sure what is causing the bad gas mileage, but ever since I owned the car every time I get out after arriving somewhere it smells like gas. However the past month the smell has been stronger then usual

In the interest of science, you have to now drive it until it dies.

You may have a leak at the pump canister if you are smelling a lot of fuel. There is a recall - Go get it done.

I dont think that's his issue and that recall cover's only the fuel pump. I agree with stone go get a leak down test.
