Changed my fluid today in my 5spd trans, definetly was needed, there was only about 1.5 quarts of fluid in there, and it was nasty, definetly not red and very metalic looking. My tranny didn't grind or anything, just hard to get in 1st sometimes and seemed to get choppy when warmed up esp on hot days. Well I added Royal Purple Manual Synthetic fluid ( 2qts ) $9.99 at pepboys per bottle, and it seems to be alot smoother than before on all shifts. So we'll see i guess..
