No Start, No Crank, P0230
My lsj sat outside all winter and when I went to get it running today, all i get is a click. I cannot hear the pump priming. No pressure at the rail. Tested the fuse with a test light and its fine. Swapped relays and nothing. Threw P0230 code as soon as i turn the key. I dont see how this would cause it not to crank as well. I believe its two separate issues. The battery is fine. I borrowed the one from my lnf. I have a new clutch position switch on order just in case. No security light. Any suggestions? Thanks guys

the starting circuit is a little complex on these cars. the start signal is sent from the key to the bcm, the bcm sends out 12 volts to the clutch switch and from the switch it goes to the starter relay in the underhood fuse panel. the ecm provides the ground circuit for the starter relay.
with starting issues i like to start (ha) at the starter and work my way backwords through the circuit after confirming the 30 amp "crank" fuse is good (underhood box) and the 10a "ip" fuse (under console/bcm) is good, grab a test light and see if there is voltage at the trigger stud (smaller wire on the starter) when its being cranked. if no, check for both voltage and ground on the relay coil pins. if your missing ground, the ecm isnt sending the ground signal, if its missing 12 volts check your clutch switch (easy to jump and try again) or the bcm isnt sending the 12 volt start signal.

Thanks for the reply. Ill check that out tomorrow. Its done this a couple times but never with the fuel issue. First time it was the clutch switch and last time it was corroded wires at the starter. Do you think these are separate issues or could they be related?

Hypothetically, could we just connect the two wires @ the clutch switch together so that circuit is permanently closed, or does the BCM "check" the circuit for "proper" operation?

Hooked the battery back up today and magically i heard the fuel pump kick on. Still no crank tho. Put in the new clutch switch just cause it was the easiest to do on short time with no results. Gonna dig more into the wires leading to the starter on tuesday. At least one issue seems to have solved itself for now

Dug a bit more into it today. Tried to jump the starter with a screw driver but just got sparks. Saw there was a bit of rust on some of the connections so i went to pull the purple wire off the solenoid and the stud broke off. I read 12v at that purple wire when i turned the key so the starter was getting power. Safe to say the starter is bad?
