Oil Filter ? while i have a little oil leak...

Does this filter come with a gasket or something i just took out the old cartridge style filter and put in the new and tighening it up pretty good (this is like my 5th oil change i did), and now i see oil around the cap and leaked down alot of oil so far, unless something else is wrong, did i do something wrong here, dont know where this oil is coming from and why cause i didnt not spill any oil...

You probably cross threaded the plastic cap, cracked it or the "O" ring that seals the cap is not in place. I understand you get a new cap with the filter at a GM dealer. I'd start over with a new cap.

Go to a Chevy, Saturn or Pontiac dealer....now. They will have one.

if it didn't drip off the filter, and it's threaded properly, i would wipe off ALL the oil, turn the car on, let it run for a minute with the hood open, and see if it leaks... have you tried cleaning it off and seeing if it still leaks? just trying to cover the bases before you take it to the dealer...

these 2 bolts have the only drips of oil? after i cleaned down there, i think this is the part that connects oil pan to transmission right..? (oil plug is to the right of picture if that helps... and transmission is to the left? right) well anyway it is these 2 bolts (says SAAB down there between em, lol), and they are tight, what the hell is going on, help!!

replace cap even tho you cleaned it oil may have gone in some cracks and dripped out.
