P0443

I keep getting this code ever sence last night at the track when I let my friend drive my balt.....P0443 says EVAP Purge Selinoid Valve One. any ideas?

just cause I let my friend drive it. his balt is fine never has any problems.

and hows that? ive had the hiflow for 6k miles only code it throws is the catylist effeciency bank 2 P0043 i think or something along that line.

well evaporative emission control would mean your cat isnt properly eliminating whats its supposed to be eliminating, too much NOX after the cat, something along those lines i would imagine.

Evap purge solenoid is NOT going to be caused by exhaust.

Pull off/out the purge solenoid, and run 12v to it. See if it opens or closes. If it does, then you've got a leak in your evap lines. If it doesn't open and close, then just replace the damn thing.

DTC P0443
Circuit Description
An ignition voltage is supplied directly to the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve. The EVAP canister purge solenoid valve is pulse width modulated (PWM). The scan tool displays the amount of ON time as a percentage. The control module monitors the status of the driver. The control module controls the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve ON time by grounding the control circuit via an internal switch called a driver. If the control module detects an incorrect voltage for the commanded state of the driver, this DTC sets.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
• The control module detects that the commanded state of the driver and the actual state of the control circuit do not match.

• The above conditions are present for a minimum of 12 seconds.

Check the connection for the unit .Its located behind the gas tank on the canister.
