Power steering message and tach jumps
My wife said that on the way home today that our 2006 2.4 ss had "power steering" in the message center and the tach was jumping up and down at the same time. This is the first time this has happened. Has this happened to anyone else? This is the only problem with us so far at about 70,000. I just saw on the internet that these cars have some kind of problem with the power steering. Anyone know what. Whats the fix? Thanks.

Well I've got the 2005 SS/SC, my power steering went at about 49,000 KM (about 30,000 Miles) luckily I have an extended warranty so I was covered by that. I have read some things online before about something getting dirty with the motor, don't quote me on it I don't know much, but I personally had to get the power steering motor replaced. Hope things turn out for the best for ya.
